I am a father of two and a lifelong passionate technologist currently working at Google. I started building Crush Depth: U-Boat Simulator (formerly U-Boat Sim) as a passion project in 2016 and have been fascinated by U-Boats and the maritime technology of WWII since playing Aces of the Deep in the 90s. I hope to bring the most realistic and engrossing U-Boat simulator ever conceived of into the hands of all U-Boat fans!

Part-time mathematics teacher and proud father of two, living in The Hague, the Netherlands. Joined the project in June 2020. I’ll be mostly concerning myself with things that have to be done outside of the actual building of the game (such as longer-term development, historical research, community management, marketing, etc.) Do not hesitate one second at all to contact me with any questions or suggestions you might have.

Jonathan - Darkstar

Working on a Master’s in real estate development and construction management. Blueprint finder, Revit and SolidWorks modeling. I love engineering, construction, and history. My long-time passion has been finding and preserving blueprints and digitizing them into CAD models. I think that civilization is defined by the tools and machines that we can dream and make real. My goal is to keep the history and stories alive, and the ability to rebuild things from the past a possibility. I’m partial to U-Boats in particular because of the men, the technology, and the struggle for the Atlantic. Everyone deserves to be remembered.

Richard - RMAX

By day RMAX (aka Richard) works for an investment bank implementing large complex technical change programmes. At night he has been centre to a number of different initiatives including: earth observations satellites, cashless payments systems and implementing an educational virtual machine and has also written a couple of screenplays. 3D modelling is a recent interest and appeals to the physics/mathematical side and the artistic streak and gives him a good excuse to do historical research. Having played numerous high-fidelity simulators, he is looking forward to there being (finally!) a high-fidelity U-Boat simulator and being part of the team to bring it to life. He lives in the UK with his wife, 2 children (and recently) two cats.
