FAQs
What is U-Boat Sim?
U-Boat Sim aims to be the most realistic U-Boat Simulator possible, given the current state of computer technology. For a better idea of what you can expect and our core values, hop over to the main page or download a very early alpha version here.
Is there a road-map for the development available?
At the moment, we are still in the very early stage of the development. A pre-alpha, technical demo is available for free on itch.io Have fun playing around with it and let us know what you think so far! We welcome your feedback.
Our main goal now is to work towards a minimum viable product, making the transition from a technical demo to a very bare-bones, initial version of something you can call a playable game. Once we have reached that stage, a road-map for further development will be released.
How do I update to the latest version?
The easiest way to do is is by downloading the itch.io client here which will update U-Boat Sim to the latest available version automatically. Alternatively, you could download the latest version here and install it manually.
I am a modeler/programmer/translator/etc. and would like to offer my help. Can I?
You most certainly can! We’re always looking for more talent to get involved. Hop on our Discord if you’re interested in helping out, or contact us here.
Is this a single or multiplayer game?
U-Boat Sim will be both single player as well as multiplayer.
Does U-Boat Sim support VR?
At the moment, no. This is one of many things we might consider for long term development.
How do I actually do things? Are there any manuals available?
No in-game manual is available right now as we are still very early in the development. The models and the world itself is changing on a daily basis. Once we have fleshed it out a bit further, we will be releasing manuals and tutorials (both inside and outside of the game) to get you up to speed on everything you need to know.
What operating system do I need to play U-Boat Sim?
U-Boat Sim is currently being developed for Windows 10.
